Tignes–Val d'Isère · Savoie
300 km of linked pistes, a glacier and big-mountain terrain.
Tignes is linked to Val d'Isère to form one of the largest high-altitude ski areas in the world, long known as the Espace Killy. The resort spreads around its lake between 1,550 and 2,100 metres, with direct access to slopes that climb above 3,400 metres.
Altitude is what sets Tignes apart. Most of the ski area lies above 2,000 metres, which keeps snow conditions reliable throughout the winter, and the Grande Motte glacier extends the season well beyond most Alpine resorts.
This is a skier's resort: long runs, off-piste terrain to explore with a guide, and a linked area you can ski for a week without repeating the same run. Tignes is made of several villages – Tignes-le-Lac, Val Claret, Tignes 1800 and Les Brévières – each with its own feel. Planning for a group?
